- The Exact Plant: You will receive the exact, unique Hoya phuwuaensis Variegated plant shown in the photos.
- Root System: This is a rooted Hoya.
- Packaging: Shipped securely in its nursery pot or current growing medium to fully safeguard the root system and minimize transit shock.
- Light: Provide bright, indirect light to keep the creamy variegation crisp and well-defined. Excellent lighting can also bring out lovely pink hues in the white sections. Protect from harsh, direct afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorching.
- Watering: Allow the potting medium to dry out almost completely between waterings. While it appreciates consistent moisture while developing blooms, its thick, rigid foliage stores water well, making it sensitive to overwatering.
- Soil Mix: Grow in an ultra-airy, highly porous epiphytic mix consisting of coarse orchid bark, perlite, and charcoal to keep the roots oxygenated.
- Climate: Thrives in warm temperatures (65°F–85°F) and moderate to high humidity (50%–70%).
- Unique Nocturnal Blooms: When mature, it readily produces clusters of fuzzy, star-shaped creamy white flowers with rich magenta centers. Fascinatingly, the blossoms open at night to release a pleasant, sweet scent (often compared to spiced pear) and close during the day!
